How far you know about the medicine at the age of 19-years? Hardly, paracetamol and a few more! But, Adnan Khurram, a 19-year-old medical aspirant recently caught by Delhi police for impersonating as an AIIMS doctor for the past five months.

Yes, he was in AIIMS for 5 months by using the fake identity card to make friends in the hospital. Not only this, but Adnan also engaged in events meant for doctors.

By far he was not a trained doctor but his knowledge of medicines has surprised everyone, also the way he accessed a diary issued to the doctors, the names of doctors and department heads at AIIMS.

According to the RDA president Harjit Singh said, “Khurram had been observing his activities on the campus for the past many months and decided to keep a watch.”

Further, Singh added:

“He would roam around wearing the lab coat and stethoscope all the time. We found out that he had made different claims to different doctors. To some, he would claim that he was a junior resident doctor while to junior resident doctors, he would introduce himself as an undergraduate medical student. He had even made his way to the WhatsApp groups.”

Well, it is very difficult to know each and every doctor of AIIMS because there are 2,000 resident doctors are working in the hospital. But, when he took a part in the marathon organized by the doctors on Saturday, one of the doctors got suspicious and informed the police after getting an unsatisfactory answer from him.

As per the investigation officers informed:

“Khurram had no criminal record. During an investigation, it was found that Khurram had uploaded many photographs wearing a doctor’s coat and stethoscope on social media”
