Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor Best Actors at IIFA, see Who all Others Bagged the Awards!

International Indian Film Academy Awards are one of the much-anticipated award night of the year. Beautiful locations, stylish people and lots of fun, what more is needed to make the best out of a celebration. And so is the case with IIFA 2017, which took place on July 14 at New York City.

The list of the winners at the show is out which says that Alia Bhatt wins the best actor in the female category and Shahid Kapoor bags the award for best actor in the male category.

It was for the first time that IIFA was organized in New York, a city which people say never sleeps. Many buggies of Bollywood came together to celebrate the night and to applaud for the winners.

Meanwhile, film Neerja wins the best film of the year award and Ae DIl Hai Mushkil gets the best musical hit award.

For 2017, the starry night was held at MetLife Stadium in New York. Be it the red carpet appearances, performances or the awards, Bollywood celebs did not leave a single moment to create a memory for their fans. That’s the reason that all fans were too excited to be the part of the show.

Best Director went to Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury for Pink.

Best Supporting Role-Male went to Anupam Kher for M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Best Supporting-Female went to Shabana Azmi for Neerja.

Legendary composer A R Rahman has been awarded for his 25 years of musical contribution to Indian cinema.

Best Debutant Male award was bagged by Diljit Dosanjh for Udta Punjab.

Best Debutant Female award Disha Patani for M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Myntra Style Icon award was given to Alia Bhatt for always being updated with style.

The awaard of best Female Playback Singer went to Tulsi Kumar for Airlift. And it was also given to Kanika Kapoor for Udta Punjab.

Meanwhile, the others awards of the night are Best Performance in a negative role: Jim Sarbh for Neerja.

Best Actor in a comic role: Varun Dhawan for Dishoom.

Best Music Direction: Pritam for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Best Playback Singer- Male: Amit Mishra for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Best Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya for the song Channa Mere Ya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
