Babita of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma’ Has Done Something Very Inspiring.

‘Babita ji’ is a very well known name in Indian household who watch the famous TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.’ The character is played by TV actress and model Munmum Dutta who hails from West Bengal.

Dutta made her acting debut in Zee TV’s 2004 serial Hum Sab Baraati. She also appeared in films like Mumbai Express and Holiday (2006).

The actress is a wanderer who loves to travel. But she also has a heat of gold.

Recently, she opened her arms and also her home to shelter stray animals until they get adopted.

Whichever part of the world I am in , if I see an animal ,especially dogs, I need to stop and speak to it .. This is a picture from 2013 December in San Francisco .. I found these 2 little dogs, hungry and cold, and they belonged to a homeless lady. I felt so helpless that I didn't have food to offer them and there were no shops around. So I walked up to the lady and handed her few dollars so that she could buy some food for the dogs and herself. Well she was an angry middle aged lady who wasn't particularly very nice to me but , for my peace of mind, I hope she did use the money to feed the dogs, at least something……… I generally feel helpless in such situations when I see these poor animals suffering, because I don't know which organisation can I contact in a foreign country……..___ Nonetheless , I feel no human or animal deserve to live their life on the roads without food, or water , suffering in the cold, or heat or rain. I hope the world is a better place one day for everyone .. She also believes in educating our girls for their better future. She preaches what she says. And the proof is that she has been sponsoring her maid’s grand daughter’s education for quite some time.

And now, she has taken up the responsibility to fund the education of her hairdresser’s daughter too.

Munmun says “We had this hairdresser at TMKOC who recently quit. The hairdresser had come to greet us and that’s when we had a heart to heart discussion. I learnt that she’s a widow and a mother to two daughters. She had to discontinue her younger daughter’s education due to financial crisis. Thereon, I decided to sponsor her education as long as I can but with a condition that the school should not be the one accepting donations.”
She further added, “We must find a purpose in life and I guess I’m doing the right thing, and believe you me, there is no greater joy than educating someone.”
We appreciate the efforts of kind-hearted Munmun.
