“Who would have thought an acid attack and 17 surgical procedures later I would get my love. But it really took place,” she told the media people at the ritual in Thane. She first talked to her hubby, Ravi Shankar, with the help of a wrong number. The 26-year-old beautiful bride got hitched to 27-year-old Ravi Shankar in Mumbai. The newly wedded couple becomes acquainted with each other after an incorrect number mix up.

“Ms Bansi had by chance dialed my number around three months back. I called Lalita back after a period of 15 days,” Mr Singh, who works for a CCTV firm told reporters.

“We talked to each other and I started loving her voice. Our talks continued each day and in the course, I proposed Lalita,” he added up.

“But I told her I was smitten towards her and would like to tie the knot. Many couples fall in love with their partners’ face and finally get separated. With her, I am not worried regarding her face. She is a cute person. I wish God blessed us for a lifespan,” he added.

Bansi’s face was harshly spoiled in the year 2012 when her relative threw acid on her body and face after a small fight. She had undergone 17 operations since 2012 and gets the trust back she had lost aall through her journey, with the assistance of her hubby.

“I had to only convince my mother to accept my preference. I had to make Lalita believe that she too had the right to a better life,” Shankar told media people.

The stunning bride shone on the day and stated ‘miracles do happen’.

The marriage ceremony was attended by several Bollywood celeb, comprising actor Vivek Oberoi, who met Lalita at an occasion for acid-attack sufferers. Vivek Oberoi called Lalita “a real hero”. He was also full of praise for the groom for supporting and loving her. In India, it is anticipated that there are 1,000 acid attacks on a yearly basis, although a lot of acid attacks remained unreported.

We wish the cute couple all the best for their new life.
