Reliance Jio showed an immense impact on the telecommunications industry by launching its new Jio 4G SIM card for all the users absolutely for free as part of the welcome offer. Later, the company had extended its free offer with Happy New Year so that the users of Jio can make unlimited free calls and mobile data till 31st March. Before the completion of this offer, the company had rolled out exclusive Jio premium plans for all the users. Now, all the users have registered for Jio Premium package and recharged with Rs 99 one-time recharge for about 1 year.
Currently, the users of Jio have become little fewer due to the completion of free offer. Most of them are recharging their device with Rs 99 for making free calls. The Reliance had completely distracted the minds of all people towards Jio for about 4 months. Now, Mukesh Ambani, the founder of Reliance Company has emphasized their focus on the DTH market in the country. As per the speculations, the company has entered into the Television market.
As per the latest reports, the company has planned to launch a new Jio Set-top Box for all the users in the market. We have witnessed about this on some online forum. Some of the photos have revealed on DTHForum. With this, we can assume that Reliance Jio is about to launch its Television services for all the users. Reliance to soon Launch Jio Set-Top Box into Indian Market
The pictures of Set-Top Box that appeared on the forums websites seems like a normal Set-Top Box. However, there might be some other variants of the STBs. On the device, we can see a sign that says ‘not for retail’. This indicates that the company is currently under the testing process of this device. On the backside of the device, we can see some ports such as standard cable connector, USB port, audio, video output and an Ethernet port. All these ports assist the users in connecting their broadband cable to the Set-Top Box.
The STB sports a USB port in the front side of the device so as to ease the users in connecting their USB devices. As per the rumors, the company will include a new feature namely ‘catch up’. This lets the users stream their preferred content for past 7 days. In addition, the company will launch a new service comprising of 300 channels. The company might soon become partners with Amazon Prime and Netflix so as to provide unlimited content for all the users.
