Nepotism Debate Rocks at IIFA, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan take potshots at Kangana Ranaut

The entire buzz of controversy bewteen Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut was created when Kangana appeared on Karan’s chat show. During that time, Kangana had mentioned Karan as the “flag-bearer of nepotism”, which further created a long debate between both of them.

Yet again, the nepotism debate rocked at the IIFA, when Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan started taking potshots at Kangana while hosting the show. Just to add, both Karan.and Saif belong to the film families and Kangana has no filmy background. This is the reason that the lady always talks about outsiders facing nepotism in the industry.

It was the time when actor Varun Dhawan came on stage to receive an award for the Best Performance in a comic role. While handing over the award to Varun, Saif said joking, ““You are here because of your papa.”

And Varun too added, “And you’re here because of your mummy (veteran actress Sharmila Tagore).”

Among all this, how can Karan miss the chance to add his sarcasm:  He said, “And, I am here because of my pappa (late filmmaker Yash Johar).”

They together shouted, “Nepotism rocks”. Varun also took a dig at Karan saying: “There was a song in your film… ‘Bole choodiyan, bole kangana.”

And then Karan takes a potshot at Kangana as he said, “Kangana Na He Bole Toh Acha Hai! Bahot Bolti Hai Woh!”

Meanwhile, the Pink actress Taapsee Pannu and The Black Prince actor Satinder Sartaj expressed their dream to be on Koffee With Karan. They both also come from a non-filmy background.

Miss Ranaut had fuelled the ‘preferential treatment’ discussion when she attended the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director’s most popular talk show.

Kangana had referred to Karan Johar as “the flag holder of partiality”, which had not gone down well with the ace personality.

So, this year IIFA remained a fun packed time for Bollywood celebs where they ended many previous matters and started the new!
