PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi died on December 29 (late Thursday). She was 100. Several Bollywood stars mourned her death on their respective social media handles and shared their condolences. The Queen actress Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of Heeraben Modi feeling Narendra Modi with hand. Along with the picture, she wrote in Hindi, “May God give Narendra Modi ji patience and peace in this tough time. Om Shanti.”

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “There is no greater sorrow than losing a mother. May god give you the strength to bear this sorrow [Narendra Modi] ji. Om Shanti.” On the other hand, Ajay Devgn tweeted, “My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Smt. Heeraben Modi. A simple, principled lady, she raised a fine son in our PM Shri Narendra Modiji. The filmmaker wrote, “My deepest condolences to Shri [Narendra Modi] on the sad demise of his beloved ‘maa’. Anupam Kher, Comedian Kapil Sharma, Sonu Sood, Singer Kailash Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar and other celebs mourned her death.

PM Narendra Modi performed the last rites of his mother Heeraben Modi at the Gandhinagar crematorium. Also, he was seen carrying the mortal remains of his late mother to the burning ghat.
