Alia Bhatt’s 2023 is turning out to be a quite special year! Heart of Stone, her most awaited international project co-featuring Hollywood actress Gal Gadot, will be released this year. The actress has now bagged an incredible deal with the Italian luxury fashion house Gucci. Alia has been appointed as Gucci’s first Indian global brand ambassador.
Alia, who has established herself as an actress, producer and entrepreneur, will make her first appearance as the brand’s ambassador at the forthcoming Gucci Cruise 2023 runway show in Seoul, South Korea. On Tuesday, the fashion company will celebrate 25 years in the nation with a show at Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The actress and the design brand announced the news in a collaborative Instagram post on Thursday (May 11). “Alia Bhatt is the House’s newest Global Brand Ambassador. To mark the occasion, the actress, producer, and entrepreneur was captured with the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag,” the caption read.
This year, the actress also made her Met Gala debut. She wore a lovely pearl-embellished Prabal Gurung gown at the fashion’s biggest night. Her outfit was inspired by supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s Chanel bridal look from 1992.
Indian actresses have made a name for themselves in the international fashion scene. Priyanka Chopra was named global ambassador for the jewellery brand Bulgari in 2021. Deepika Padukone grabbed headlines in 2022 when she was named the global brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton and Cartier.
