To welcome the noteworthy decision by the government, the well known dairy giant Amul has praised the nation’s vaccination drive for people above 18 with a punny cartoon.

Amul’s latest caricature highlighted the move, amidst the increasing second wave of pandemic infections in the nation. The renowned dairy giant shared the ad to capture the country’s mood. Amul made use of their trademark punning which showcased a healthcare expert and a young adult at an inoculation centre. On both Instagram and Twitter, Amul along the cartoon ran a tagline that can be read as, “No waiteen if you’re eighteen.”

The declaration was taken during a conference led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeing the harsh surge in the pandemic cases. The administration decided to open up vaccination beyond the existing cut-off age and permit makers to roll out almost 50 per cent of dosages to the open market. The decision will make anyone above 18 entitled to be immunized from May 1.

Amul’s post has turned viral, and it got many likes. Twitter users applauded the creativity of the squad. One user commented, “We are going to participate in the History soon! (sic).”

Earlier, the Centre had rolled out a nationwide vaccination drive on January 16 for healthcare and frontline workers and extended it to those who are above the age of 45 years on April 1.
