Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is ready to make his streaming debut with the upcoming Prime Video series titled Farzi. The show, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, will share its trailer on January 13. But two days prior to that, a fake trailer was shared by the streamer. It even included a body double of the Kabir Singh actor. On Wednesday, Prime Video dropped a video on Instagram that appeared to be the trailer but was, in fact, a fake trailer as part of the show’s publicity campaign.

The video shared by Prime Video also announces that the real trailer will be released on January 13. Reacting to the innovative promotion, one of the Instagram users wrote, “Scam kar diya.” Another wrote, “This was funny.” One of the users also commented, “Chuna laga diya.”
For those unaware, the series marks the digital debut of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi and is ready to release on February 10 on Prime Video. Apart from Shahid and Vijay, it also stars Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Amol Palekar, Regina Cassandra, and Bhuvan Arora in pivotal roles. The posters of the series released earlier this month show Shahid Kapoor as a conman, while Vijay Sethupathi is the law enforcement officer trying to track him down.
