Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming movie The Archies has become the talk of the town. The movie will features bunch of star kids including Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, who will all be marking their debut in showbiz. There is much excitement among the audience as some faces will be witnessed on screen, however, we cannot ignore the ongoing nepotism debate in the industry.
In an interview with Film Companion, Zoya addressed the issue and said that she acted as a mentor for the kids and have prepared them for the negativity coming their way. “At the end of the day, we all grow up. We all grow up wanting to follow our dream. When you grow up in a house with parents you admire, you just end up doing things they do… Who is anyone to say, ‘You can’t do this [or] that’,” said the filmmaker while speaking about the training she imparted to the newbies.
The movie is the Hindi adaption of the 90s popular comic which goes by the same name.
