Alia Bhatt’s maternal grandfather Narendra Nath Razdan passed away at the age of 93. It was earlier reported that he was suffering from lung infection, which had recently gotten worse. However, the exact behind his demise is not yet revealed.
He was also admitted to the Breach Candy hospital, in Mumbai, last week. The doctors shifted Mr. Narendra Razdan to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after his health was worsened. Alia also missed out of IIFA awards due to her maternal grandfather’s health being critical.
The actress took to her Instagram handle to share a throwback video of her grandpa, from his 92nd birthday celebration. In the caption, she revealed that he used to cook “the best omelette” and like playing golf and violin. His other interests included cricket, sketching and family time. She added, “My heart is full of sorrow but also full of joy .. because all my grandpa did is give us joy & for that feel blessed and grateful to have been brought up by all the light he had to give!”
Meanwhile, Alia bagged the award for best actor in the leading role (female) for Gangubai Kathiawadi at IIFA Awards 2023, which was held in Abu Dhabi.
