Jacqueline Fernandez granted interim bail in Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case by Delhi court, confirms her lawyer Prashant Patil

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been summoned by the Delhi High Court today on 26th September for the Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case. While updates around her appearance in Court are as yet coming in, ETimes was able to get a latest update from her lawyer Prashant Patil. The senior lawyer uncovered that Jacqueline has been granted interim bail. This appearance is just procedural. The next date to show up before the Court is October 22.”

The actress has been cooperating with the authorities since her name came up in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. Her lawyer Patil further added that they had filed a regular bail application and currently, the ED has to file a reply. Since the investigations in the case have started, Jacqueline’s personal as well as professional life has come under investigation. The arrival of the interim bail, will grant her some relief.

The court has currently fixed October 22 as the next date of hearing. On this date, the court will hear the arguments on her regular bail request. The scrutiny of the documents will likewise be done on the date.

The Enforcement Directorate as of late registered its 2nd supplementary charge sheet in which Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as an accused. Jacqueline and Nora Fatehi had recorded their statements as witnesses in the case.
