In the latest events, Gujarat Titans bowler Yash Dayal has found himself in the news after he shared a rather controversial post in his Instagram Story. The post was about ‘Love Jihad’. The right wing groups have explained Love Jihad as a way by which a Muslim man makes a Hindu girl to fall in love with him, and later forces her change her religion.

The cricketer has been facing criticism for his now deleted controversial Instagram Story. Many of the users are recalling that it was during his over, when Kolkata Knight Rider’s Rinku Singh had smashed 5 consecutive sixes to help his team win the match.
In response, Yash has now uploaded an apology note. He wrote that he has respect for every community and society and the post was indeed a “mistake.” He requested everyone not to spread any hatred.
