Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding is one of the grandest affairs of 2018. The couple has walked down the aisle today.

Although, the pressure is too high to look elegant and classy at the same time. Meghan has set standards for her and we can see that from her wedding outfit which she chose. Which is simple but really elegant and has also maintained the royal decorum and looks beautiful in the white wedding dress with a white veil and boat neck that was created by British designer Clare Waight Keller.

But, do you know what the former princess had opted to dress on her wedding day?

It is royal wedding week! Here is a look back at Queen Elizabeth's wedding to the Duke of Edinburgh (then Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten). The two first met in 1934 but it wasn't until meeting again in 1939, when Elizabeth was 13, that she fell in love with Philip and the pair began exchanging letters. They became secretly engaged in 1946, waiting until she reached the age of 21 to officially announce the engagement. On November 20, 1947, the pair wed at Westminster Abbey in London. Elizabeth's dress was designed by Norman Hartnell and she purchased the fabric for it using rationing coupons (the UK was still under rationing restrictions from World War II). #duchessofcambridge #princesskate #katemiddleton #royals #fashion #britishroyals #britain #princewilliam #dukeofcambridge #royalbaby3 #babycambridge3 #babycambridge #princegeorge #princesscharlotte #princessdiana #princessdianaforever #london #monarchy #royalfamily #theroyalcourier #style #meghanmarkle #weadmirekatemiddleton #queenelizabeth #thequeen #princeharry #princelouis #royalwedding

BRF weddings: in waiting for May 19th and October 12th Peter Phillips, the eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, married his Canadian bride Autumn Kelly on 17 May 2008 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. There were 300 guests at the wedding, including the Royal Family and Autumn’s family. Prince William could not attend, but his girlfriend Kate Middleton attended along with Prince Harry. Autumn’s wedding dress was designed by the British designer Sassi Holford, and she wore her mother-in-law’s Festoon tiara. Autumn’s dress was Italian duchesse satin and Chantilly lace with a three-tiered sash at the waist. She wore a beaded bolero made from ivory Chantilly lace to cover her shoulders in the church. Autumn spent the night before her wedding at Windsor Castle while Peter spent the night with his uncle Edward. Zara Phillips, Jacqueline Aubie (friend of Autumn’s) and Susannah Toynbee (friend of Autumn’s) were bridesmaids, while Stephanie Phillips (Peter’s half-sister) and Jessica Kelly (Autumn’s half-sister) were flower girls. During the ceremony, Princess Eugenie gave a reading of Shakespeare’s 116th sonnet. Afterwards, the newlyweds had their reception at Frogmore House nearby. 👰🏼🤵🏻💐💍 #PeterPhillips#AutumnKelly#AutumnPhillips#RoyalWedding#BritishRoyals#BritishRoyalFamily#MountbattenWindsor#Windsor
