Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the allegation of “genocide” levelled against Israel and has asked the “decent people everywhere should reject it.”
“The charge of genocide levelled against Israel is not only false, it’s outrageous, and decent people everywhere should reject it,” the Israeli PM said in response to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) decision on the claims of genocide made by South Africa.
The PM added that Israel’s determination towards the international law is unwavering and is equally unwavered towards defending its “country and defend [its] people.”
“Life every country, Israel has an inherit right to defend itself. The vile attempt to deny Israel this fundamental right is blatant discrimination against the Jewish state, and it was justly rejected.”
The ICJ in the Hague on Friday ordered the Jewish state to take all preventive measure to avoid genocide in Gaza. However, it did not order a ceasefire to be implemented.
