Reliance Jio has finally started giving its 4K set-top box to the paid users of JioFiber. Recently, Reliance Jio had announced a Triple Play broadband plan in September and informed that the trial run of JioFiber has ended. All of the existing JioFiber Preview customers will be automatically migrated to the paid plans and the paid plans starts at Rs 699.

When the JioFiber plans were announced by the company, there were a lot of confusion among everyone and they were really thinking over the fact on how the company will be able to provide Set-Top Box and Cable TV service at the same time.

As per the reports, JioFiber Customers will be getting a free Set-Top box with every broadband plan. But if you want to watch the TV, then you will have to get a separate cable TV connection from the local cable operator.

This news really created a lot of confusion, as the company initially said that they will be providing IPTV service. The customers of JioFiber who have got all the new SEt-TOp Box said that the IPTV service is also being offered by the company. The only limitation of the service is that the channel count is limited to over 150.

The Set-Top Box offered by JioFiber also has an app named as “JiTV” and this is a platform that will be combining all the content from the OTT apps. As of now, the TV section also will be present inside the JioTV+ app and it looks like that the company will be providing access to TV channels through these OTT services.

A good example for this is that if the company comes into partnership with Hotstar, then all the channels from Star Indai will be available inside the JioTV+ app and as of now Star India channels such as Star Maa TV, Star Maa Movies, Star Maa Gold, Star Sports and more are also being already offered by JioFiber.
