Kangana Ranaut attended on Saturday’s edition of The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her new film Thalaivii. Kapil Sharma, the show’s host, reminded Kangana of one of her past visits on the show, when she criticized those who “waste time” on social media.
she continued, Kangana had stated previously on the show, when she appeared with actor Shahid Kapoor to promote their film Rangoon, that only “velle (idle)” people use social media. She had said, “Mujhe aisa lagta hai jaise social media pe saare velle log hote hain jinko kuch kaam nahi hota karne ko.” “You don’t have time to speak with your friends. What will you say to people you’ve never met? People who are busy go to work and get caught up in the problems that their lives throw at them, she had said, pointing to Kapil “Ye saare velle log Twitter, Facebook, Instagram pe rehte hai aur khud pe inhone kitne case bhi karwa liye hain (All these jobless people stay on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram),”
Kangana couldn’t stop laughing at her own statements and the humor of the situation. She joined Twitter last year and was immediately banned due to her offensive comments. Speaking about it, she stated that her assessment of Twitter in 2017 was correct. She said that she joined Twitter because of the coronavirus shutdown, but that she was thrown off just as soon as the lockdown was lifted.
Toh sach hi yeh baat hai. Acchi khaasi busy thi main, jab corona nahi tha. (However, this is accurate.) Jab corona hua, aisi velli hui main I was quite busy when there was no corona. When Corona arrived, I became extremely lonely),” she said. Kangana added that she couldn’t last even six months on the app before being banned, and that around 200 cases were filed against her every day during that period.
After getting banned from Twitter, Kangana joined the Koo app and is now active on Instagram too
