Kapil Sharma’s mother has become a fixture on his show The Kapil Sharma Show in the recent months. In a conversation with fellow comedian Zakir Khan, Kapil acknowledged that he can sense the growing popularity of her mother with a funny anecdote and the fact that how she stood like a pillar of strength after his father passed away.
Zakir said that the highlight of his experience on Kapil’s show was to meet her mother. Sharing an incident, Kapil said, “Mummy almost har shoot par aati hain. Abhi toh badi popular hogayi hain mummy (My mom comes to almost every shoot and she’s popular in the own right now).” He shared that during his shoot in London, he was accompanied by his mother and they sitting in a lobby when a group of girls came to click selfies with the comedian. When the fans did not ask for pictures with Kapil’s mother, she took the offence and yelled. The comedian shared that she is enjoys becoming a star at this age.
Zakir also asked Kapil about his father’s early death. The comedian shared that he and his brother were 22 and 23 year old, respectively, when their father died. “Housewife hai meri maa… to ek lady par itna pressure aa jaana… par unhone jis tareeke se handle kiya uss cheez ko.. mere liye meri maa bohot badi heroine hai.”
