India is currently facing the wrath of the ongoing worldwide health crisis. The second wave of infection has officially hit the country and the situation is getting out of hand. Given the rising positive cases, the government decided to impose partial lockdown on April 4 which must be followed till April 30. The measures might curb the spike in the cases but it has once again brought many industries to a standstill.

The government has announced to impose partial lockdown on weekdays and complete lockdown on weekends. It has raised concerns among the public about losing their livelihood and having to go through a financial crisis once again.

Meanwhile, renowned Indian television actors Karan Patel and Nakuul Mehta have taken to their respective social media handles to have their say on the situation. Both of them are opposing the idea of imposing such lockdown restrictions.

In a post shared by the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star, he says that the actors have permission to continue filming. Cricketers are allowed to play their matches, day or night. Politicians can hold rallies with thousands of people. States can conduct elections and expect one to come out to vote. However, a common man cannot go to work.

On the other hand, even Nakuul Mehta had similar views to express on the ongoing lockdown restriction measures. He shared a tweet about the rule of wearing a mask while inside the car in Delhi even while driving alone.

Sharing the tweet he wrote, “Political rallies – Not needed, Bollywood Awards Shows – Nah, Religious Gathering – No, Kumbh Mela – Deffo not BUT ALONE IN CAR – YAAAS (sic).”

Their openness to address the issue faced by a common man is being lauded by the netizens. They are happy that these well-known actors took time out to notice the problem a person might face due to financial crunch if they lose their jobs.

The opinions by these two actors are being re-shared by many social media users as it is the actual scenario in India.
