In the midst of recent mid-air controversy, this incident has at last made netizens grin. A passenger on an IndiGo Airline flight can be seen in a viral video asking an air hostess to open the flight’s window mid-air so he can spit his gutka. Posted on Instagram by user Govind Sharma asked people to “tag their gutka lover friend”.
After hearing the passenger’s question, the air hostess apparently couldn’t stop giggling.
“Excuse me, khidki khol dijiye, gutka thukna hai,” the passenger is heard saying in the video footage. The flight hostess can be seen laughing, and the people surrounding her did as well.
The man looked to be having a good time throughout the trip when he asked to open the window. One person commented on the video, “Kanpur flights have upgraded this feature.” Another user wrote, “Gutka matters.”
This follows a recent incident in which Karnataka BJP MP Tejasvi Surya claimed that he mistakenly opened an IndiGo flight’s emergency exit door. Later, he apologised for his actions.
Several reports of rowdy unruly passengers have recently appeared on the internet. Air India was recently fined for improperly handling the case of a passenger urinating in the flight cabin. The flight’s pilot was likewise suspended for 3 months. In a video uploaded on Twitter two weeks ago, a Virgin Australia pilot was seen removing an unruly passenger.
