For the unversed, an earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale hit the national capital on January 28 at 9.17 am. The mild tremors were felt by everyone in Delhi and the epicenter of this earthquake is considered to be somewhere near West Delhi.

It will be interesting to know the people residing in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) experienced four earthquakes in 2020. These earthquakes hit the region from April to August. At that time, the country was under strict lockdown measures and the Delhiites were surprised at the uncertainty of the year. Even back then netizens emerged with memes stating what else 2020 has gotten in-store with itself.

Now, on Thursday when the mild earthquake hit again, the netizens had their memes and funny GIFs ready to express their feelings.

The netizens used some funny dialogues of Bollywood movies or even came up with their own jokes to make light of the situation. The hashtags- Delhi and Earthquake were trending on Twitter for a while.

One Twitter user wrote, “new delhi rlly be trending earthquake every other day like bro u ok? The user accompanied it with a crying emoticon.

Another user asked the Delhiites if they are doing okay after the mild earthquake. The tweet read, “Delhi walo Khairiyat? This tweet was posted alongside a GIF of baby Yoda experiencing the earthquake.

One user came up with its own meme and it reads, “No one- Literally no one- Delhi People- Just Another Thursday.”

Many such memes and GIFs are making rounds on the internet and everyone is trying to make light of rather serious concern.

Informing about the 2.8 Richter scale earthquake, the National Centre for Seismology said, “It was a minor earthquake, so tremors were not felt everywhere. We are investigating the fault lines around west Delhi,”

Well, we hope that Delhi doesn’t experience another earthquake and things don’t get out of hands.
