PM Modi addressed the nation today. Starting with the condition of the nation, he said that India’s condition is far better than other developed nations and India’s mortality rate is lower. While addressing Unlock 1.0, PM Modi said many people showed carelessness in such a critical time and in the coming time, we need to be more careful about the growing infection spread.

After that, PM Modi also praised people for properly following social distancing and other safety rules as suggested by the government. He urged every citizen to keep following these rules. “Be it the pradhan of a village or the Prime Minister of the country, no one is above the law.”, said PM.

Addressing to the less-fortunate people, he said that the government has made sure that not a single person sleeps an empty stomach during these hard times.

For distributing staple food to the needy, PM Modi said that the government has transferred funds of 9,000 Cr for purchasing the grains under the Garib Kalyan Yojana. Under this scheme, govt has provided free grains to all needy people.

PM Modi focused on the upcoming festivals in the country and to help the needy people in such hard times, 80 crore people will receive free food till November end under PM Garib Kalyan Yojana.

This free food scheme will cost more than Rs 90,000 Cr. To make the process of receiving grains easier, PM Modi also announced One Nation One Ration Card plan under which needy people will be able to collect ration from anywhere in the country.

To make this strategy happen, PM Modi praised farmers and the taxpayers of the country for their immense support. In the end, he urged people to follow all safety guidelines and maintain social distance for everyone’s safety. PM Modi also emphasised on promoting local brands for strengthening India’s economy.
