Actress Priyanka Chopra looked stunning in black and white at the star-studded MET Gala, but the expensive necklace she wore with it stole the show. The actress is a brand ambassador for the jewellery brand Bulgari and she was wearing a necklace from the same brand. The necklace contained a blue laguna diamond, which is worth at least $25 million which translates to Rs.204.5 crore.
The blue laguna in Priyanka’s necklace is the largest blue diamond in a Bulgari piece and the most costly gemstone ever sold by Bulgari, according to the International Gemological Institute. On May 12, at Sotheby’s Luxury Week in Geneva, it is said to go for auction with a pre-sale estimate of more than $25 million.
The actress posted numerous photos, including one with a close-up of the necklace. She wore it with a thigh-high split black Valentino gown, dramatic gloves and pumps.
This year’s MET Gala theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, based on the new Costume Institute exhibition exploring the work of the legendary designer. Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 85, spent decades designing clothes for brands such as Balmain, Patou, Chloe, Fendi, and Chanel, in addition to his own namesake label.
