Telugu producer KP Chowdary has been arrested by Goa police in a drug scandal. Apart from him, some of the prominent names from the Telugu film industry has emerged in the alleged drug case investigation. However, Chowdary is the prime accused.
The producer is known for backing Rajinikanth’s critically acclaimed movie Kabali. Chowdary also acted as an distributor for Mahesh Babu’s Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu in 2013 and Sardaar Gabbar Singh, which starred Pawan Kalyan.
As per the reports by 123 Telugu, Chowdary has been arrested by the Goa police after he was caught trying to peddle around 111.45 grams of cocaine to Hyderabad. He bought drugs from Nigeria-based drug dealer while in Goa. Further the reports added that the producer has been brought into police custody for interrogation and will be kept there for two days. It has been revealed from the interrogation, that he has supplied cocaine to several celebrities and political parties.
Track Tollywood has reported that actresses Ashu Reddy and Surekha Vani’s names have popped up in investigation. Speculations went wild after old picture of Surekha kissing Chowdary went viral on the internet. Netizens claim that the actress looks inebriated in the pictures.
