Javed Akhtar, a lyricist and writer, has come under fire for recent utterances. He told a news outlet that while the Taliban is savage and their deeds are abhorrent, people who support the RSS, VHP, and Bajrang Dal are all the same. The BJP’s youth wing was upset by Javed Akhtar’s statement, and several of them gathered outside his Juhu home to protest.

RRS provides assistance to anyone in need, and he has compared them to the Taliban. He needs to apologise. Several protestors outside the ‘Sholay’ actor’s home claimed, “It is really condemnable that Javed Akhtar, despite being a very sensible person, has made such a comment.” According to reports, Javed Akhtar has remarked that India is a secular country with a secular majority, but that there are others who support organisations like the RSS and VHP, as well as individuals like Golwalkar, who share the same worldview as the Nazis of the 1930s.

Javed Akhtar is also involved in a legal struggle with Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress. The lyricist has filed a defamation suit against the actress. The Bombay High Court recently deferred the defamation case hearing and reserved its decision on Kangana’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
