Prior this year, in an interview with Humans Of Bombay, Patralekhaa opened up about her romantic tale with Rajkumar. She said that when she initially observed him on screen in Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhokha, she thought he was a “weird person”, simply like his character in the film.

But, it was Love at first sight for Rajkummar, who initially observed her in a TV ad. The actress said “He told me later, that he had first seen me in an ad and thought, ‘I’m going to marry her.’ It was so ironic!!!.”

Patralekhaa made her Bollywood debut opposite Rajkummar in CityLights, in 2014, and was overwhelmed by his passion for film. Discussing how they began to look all starry eyed at, she said, “Gradually we began discussing work, our affection for film, our enthusiasm – everything. I saw him through his struggles, never surrendering. How could we not fall for one another?.”

She further added, “We wouldn’t officially go on dates, yet we’d go for long drives, films, or even sit at home and eat our hearts out. We’d even go with one another for auditions -silently seeping in support. It’s everything we required – that understanding.”
