Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called on UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in London on Wednesday.
The Defense Minister is currently on an official visit to Great Britain. This marks the first time that a sitting defense minister is visiting UK in more than 20 years.
Earlier, in the day, Singh also met British counterpart Grant Shapps attended the India-UK Defense Industry CEOs Roundtable at Trinity House in London.
The UK announced its plan of sending its Littoral Response Group to the Indian Ocean Region later this year, with a proposal for the Carrier Strike Group to visit the Indian waters in 2025. Both will train and operate with the Indian forces.
The announcement was made public by UK Defence Secretary Shapps.
Both the countries vowed to continue strengthening their ties during Defense Minister visit to the country.
