A plea was moved on Wednesday in the Delhi High Court against Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The trailer of the movie was released last night, which revealed that the movie’s plot revolves around female foeticide but also shows a pre-natal sex-determination during ultrasound.
Filing the plea, Advocate Pawan Prakash Pathak cites that even though the film focuses on the subject of female foeticide and tends to promote the cause of Save Girl Child, the trailers shows ultrasound technology usage for sex determination before birth, which restricted under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagonistic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994.
With Ranveer in lead, the movie also features Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Shalini Pandey in supporting cast. Directed by Pathak Shah, the movie is produced by Yash Raj Films and Maneesh Sharma.
