Reliance Industries is like a messiah for their employees. The company has come forward and announced that they will give the last drawn salary of their employees who succumbed to Covid-19 for the next 5 years to their family. Apart from this, Reliance also promised to bear the full tuition fee, residential costs and book fee for the children of the deceased up to the bachelor’s degree level at any university in India. Reliance will also bear any medical charges of their spouse, parents and children (till the child completes his bachelors).

In addition to this any employee can take the special Covid-19 leave if they or any family member is suffering through Covid-19. Reliance encourages them to come back only when they have recovered physically and emotionally. This policy has been put in place to make sure that the employees can take care of their family members until recovered fully.

Nita Ambani, chairperson of the Reliance foundation also said that they will give Rs 10 lakh to the family who is grieving a loss due to the virus.

She also said that some people in the Reliance family are coping with personal losses and we stand with them. Everyone should be the opportunity to grieve a loved one. We will extend support to them.
