After revocation of Article 370, monologue by Shahid Kapoor in Haider turns viral

The 5th of August 2019 will be ever remembered as a historic day by all the Indians. On this special day, the government of India revoked the Article 370, which grants special status for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Now as the article has been revoked, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be treated just like any other Indian states. It will now allow people from across the country to buy property or start a new business in these states. In the view of this, a monologue by Shahid Kapoor in the movie Haider has caught the attention of fans all over the world.

In the movie, Shahid Kapoor’s monologue depicted the entire situation of Kashmir and the situation of its people. As the Article 370 has been revoked, that particular monologue from Shahid Kapoor has gone viral. The movie Haider is actually based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet and it was set in the perspective of the state of Kashmir, which is suffering from militancy.

In the monologue, Shahid is seen speaking out about the condition of the Kashmiri people and he also says about the Article 2 of Geneva Convention and about the recently revoked Article 370. He also said that both India and Pakistan are prompting to take actions for getting their freedom and they do not ask what these people actually want.

At the same time, when the India Government revoked the Article 370, there were mixed reactions from across every corners of the nation. Some really praised this bold decision by the Government and at the same time there are people who think that the move is unethical. They also criticized the house arrests of various leaders and the disconnection strategy for the communication channels. But Shahid Kapoor has a good time now as his dialogue related to Article 370 has gone viral on the internet.
