The much-awaited cricket tournament, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be starting on April 9, 2021. All the eight-franchisees are all set to lock horns with each other to win the shiny trophy. Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is also prepping for the upcoming season and is aiming to win the trophy once again. If the Mumbai-based franchise happens to win this year’s IPL trophy, Sharma will become the first captain to win three back-to-back finals.
Mumbai Indians have a huge fan base who support them with all their hearts. Apart from the millions cheering him, Rohit also has his family by his side in challenging bio-bubble life. Due to the on-going health crisis, it is mandatory for the players and the staff to stay in the bio-bubble for safety reasons.
Seems like, Rohit is having a cute company with himself as he preps in the safety of bio-bubble. On Wednesday, the official social media handle of Mumbai Indians shared an adorable video of the opening batsman’s daughter Samaira mimicking her dad’s renowned pull-shot.
The little tot is also cheering for the defending champions as she plays the mini pull-shot. The netizens are gushing over how sweet Samaira is looking in the cricketing gear. The caption alongside the video reads, “From mini pull-shot to an MI cheer chant.. Sammy’s IPL 2021 plan is ready (sic).” It is accompanied by the hashtags ‘One Family’, ‘Mumbai Indians’.
Rohit and Ritika’s little angle is wearing the MI’s helmet and they seem to be on the sets of some ad or promo clip. In the video, Ritika Sajdeh asks Samaira how her dad hits a six to which she mimics the pull shot.
On April 9, Mumbai Indians will be taking on Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The match will take place in Chennai. As of now, the BCCI is yet to announce if the IPL matches will be played behind closed doors or not.
