Ray Stevenson, who portrayed an antagonist in SS Rajamouli’s hit film RRR, died at the age of 58, his publicist affirmed. However, the exact reason for his death remains unknown.
Director Rajamouli took to his Twitter account to express his grief. He penned, “Shocking… Just can’t believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.”

The official Instagram account of the RRR movie dropped a BTS photo of him doing his own stunts and penned that he was 56 years old when they shot this challenging scene, he did not hesitate to do this stunt. “We will forever cherish having you on the sets of #RRR, Ray Stevenson. Gone too soon.”
Stevenson was the 2nd of three sons born on May 25, 1964 in Lisburn. He came to England when he was eight years old and enrolled in the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He graduated at the age of 29 and has been a frequent actor in films and television series since the early 1990s.
