Sara Ali Khan went full desi for her Cannes debut, walking the red carpet dressed in an ivory lehenga designed by the well-known fashion designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla on the first day of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, which began on May 16 and will run until May 27 screening films from all over the world.
The actress’s pics from the red carpet are going viral on the internet. She also interacted with the paparazzi about her debut and her red carpet outfit. When asked how she was feeling about making her Cannes Film Festival debut, Sara said, “A little bit nervous, I’ve always aspired to be here someday, and I can’t believe I’m here.”
Speaking about her look, the actress added, “My look is Abu (Jani) and Sandeep (Khosla). She added that it is a traditional Indian handmade work and she has always been proud of her Indianness. “It therefore embodies who I am, it’s fresh, it’s modern, but also traditional Indian.”
