Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, well-known for her role as Jasmine in the hit show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, died in a car accident. She died in a car accident in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning (May 23). She was 32 years old and her family in Chandigarh are getting the body to Mumbai. The last rites will happen in Mumbai on Wednesday at 11 am.
JD Majethia, the show’s producer, announced the sad news of her demise. He took to his Twitter account and penned, “Life is so unpredictable.” He added that a very wonderful actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, well known as “jasmine” of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, had died. “She met with an accident in the north. The family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for the last rites. RIP Vaibhavi.”
According to ETimes, the actress was in a car with her fiancé when the vehicle lost control during a sharp and steep turn. The news of Vaibhavi’s death came just a few days after actor-model Aditya Singh Rajput was reportedly found dead in his Mumbai apartment (May 22).
