Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on Monday expressed concern over the recent rise in sexually-explicit AI-generated deepfake videos and images of celebrities, calling the trend “alarming and terrible.”
In an interview with NBC news, the chief executive was asked about the fake pornographic images of US pop sensation Taylor Swift that went viral on social media.
Nadella emphasized the need for a quick response to such incidents. “I think it behooves us to move fast on this,” he said. Further ahead, he also added that ‘guardrails’ were required to ensure only safe content is produced online.
As per a report in The Verge, the speculations have it that there are chances for those explicit images to be created using Microsoft Designer image generator.
