Shahid Kapoor And Shraddha Kapoor Are Having A Gala Time On The Sets Of Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have previously worked together in Haider which became a success at the box-office and also got critical acclaim. The actors have paired up yet again for Batti Gul Meter Chaalu.

The film is directed by Toilet Ek Katha fame, Shree Narayan Singh. The film has been surrounded by controversies since the beginning. First, the film’s shooting was stalled as producer Prernaa Arora allegedly failed to pay the wages to the crew. Later, filmmaker Bhushan Kumar took the film under his wings and the shooting resumed.

The writers of the film, Sidharth Singh and Garima Wahal, have also accused Shree of copyright infringement. However, it seems that actors are not affected by this and are enjoying themselves on the sets in the mountain regions of the beautiful Dehradun in Uttarakhand

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a social drama, which depicts the story of a common man and his struggle against the power distribution companies over exorbitant electricity bills.

Shraddha and Shahid will be shooting for Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Tehri and Dehradun till mid-June and move to Mumbai for the next and final schedule. Yami Gautam, who plays a lawyer in the film, will join the team in Mumbai. Batti Gul Meter Chalu will hit the screens on August 31 this year.
