Over the past 15 years, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show has entertained audiences. Till date, the slice-of-life drama has a huge fan base that tunes in every day to watch the show. Well, the makers of the show frequently grab news, whether it’s about their cast being replaced or reports of them not paying their actors. Shailesh Lodha, an actor-poet, has been at the forefront of such reports. The actor, who left the show in April 2022, has filed a complaint against the show’s producer, Asit Kumarr Modi.
According to News18, Lodha has sued Modi and his production team for not paying his dues. It’s been more than a year since he was replaced by actor Sachin Shroff, who now portrays the titular role of Taarak Mehta. It had been reported that he had registered the complaint in the first week of March 2023.
As per the media, he has currently reached out to the National Company Law Tribunal. He has initiated a “corporate insolvency resolution” under Section 9. The case is scheduled to be heard in May. According to the new portal, when they contacted him, the poet refused to give any statement on the matter since the matter is “subjudice and under court.”
