Shruti Haasan to Share Screen Space with Vijay Sethupathi in ‘Sethupathi 2’

Shruti Haasan, the popular actress in Tollywood film industry hasn’t signed in any of the Telugu films as per the latest news. Her last film in Tollywood was Katamarayudu. It’s been almost 2 years since we have seen her in new films. As per the latest update, she will be seen in her next flick sharing the screen space with Vijay Sethupathi for the first time.

After 2 years of gap, Shruti will be playing a lead role against Vijay in a Tamil film namely ‘Sethupathi 2’. We all know that Vijay has witnessed a huge hit with the film Naanum Rowdy Thaan in the year 2015. Later, his film Sethupathi released in 2016 was a huge success. Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum fame Su. Arunkumar directed this film.

Now, Vansan movies Shan Sudarshan and K movies are jointly producing the film Sethupathi 2 featuring Vijay Sethupathi in the role of a titular cop. As per the latest news, Shruti Haasan will be playing the female lead role in the sequel alongside Vijay. It’s for the first time for the actress to act with Vijay Sethupathi on the silver screen.

She has already paired with the same actor for the film ‘Laabam’. However, this film shooting is not yet wrapped up and the couple is once again pairing for their next flick. SP Jananathan is the director of the film Laabam. In recent times, Vijay Sethupathi witnessed a massive hit with the film ’96’ starring Trisha in the main female lead role.

Some of the filmmakers are planning to remake this film in Telugu with some other film actors. Speaking about the professional front of Shruti Haasan, she is currently working for her next projects ‘Power’ in Hindi directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and Laabam under the direction of SP Janananthan in Tamil.

After some discussions, the film Sethupathi 2 will go on to the floors. On the other hand, Vijay is acting in his 25th film ‘Seethakaathi’, and Super Deluxe. He is also playing a supporting role in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy featuring Chiranjeevi.
