Social Media Emerges With Meme Fest As Night Curfew Measures Get Imposed

The number of positive cases in India is rising day by day and the government has no other option but to tighten up the health safety measures. In order to curb the spread of injection, many state governments have decided to impose a night curfew wherein everything will be shut during the night hours until the next day’s morning.

In Delhi, during the night curfew hours, traffic movement would not be halted and those going for vaccinations will be allowed with an e-pass. All of it is being put into action to not the cases spike any further.

However, the memers have found an opportunity to add a pinch of humour to the whole crisis-like situation. Social media sites have erupted with meme fest as the night curfew measures have been imposed. The hashtag ‘Night Curfew’ has been trending on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Apart from Delhi, the CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackery also imposed a partial lockdown in Mumbai from the evening of April 5. The financial capital of India will observe a curfew from 8 PM to 7 AM on weekdays, and strict lockdown during the weekends as the number of positive cases spike.

Speaking of Delhi, on Wednesday, the Delhi High Court made it mandatory for a person to wear a mask while travelling alone in their private car. Other than that, during the curfew hours, private doctors, nurses, and other medical staff will be allowed to move with proper ID cards.

Pregnant women and people needing medical attention are an exception to this rule and regulations. Essential services and retailers who need to travel at night for ration, grocery stocks, vegetables, medicines, among other necessities will also be allowed movement.

The latest update about the infected cases says that on Monday, the number of positive cases crossed one lakh in 24 hours in India. The second wave is having more impact than the initial wave, and everyone is hoping for the situation to no go out of hand.
