Among the top journalists, Arnab Goswami and Navika Kumar have invited some serious problems from the Bollywood industry as more than 34 top Bollywood producers, actors and other personalities have lodged a lawsuit against them. This complaint is registered against the journalists and TV channels over making irresponsible comments against the movie industry without having solid proofs to present.
Along with Republic TV’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami and Navika Kumar, the complaint has also been registered against Pradeep Bhandari of the channel, and Times Now’s Editor-in-Chief Rahul Shivshankar.
Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are among the 34 Bollywood personalities that have lodged this issue.
The Bollywood stars have also raised their disagreement over interfering with the right to privacy of individuals who are associated with the film industry. This whole matter got big when Republic TV started showing irrelevant coverage after Sushant Singh Rajput’s incident.
‘The livelihood of persons associated with Bollywood is being severely impacted by the smear campaign being run by the defendants’, reads the official statement submitted by the B-town stars.
However, in the statement, the Bollywood producers have also mentioned that they are not seeking a ban on all such coverages but the investigation needs to be solid and backed with facts. Producers also stated that they are in full support of the laws on Sushant’s matter.

Another big claim made by these industry personalities is that the channels are ‘acting as a court’ and proving individuals wrong which is totally unfair. The Bollywood has demanded ‘transparency’ in the nature of reporting done by these channels. According to the reports, the complaint lodged against the media personalities also covers the point of showing Bollywood stars addicted to the ‘substances’. Over this, the stars have urged the media channels to make any claim based on available proof if they have any.
