Deaths in gyms are increasing day by day. There is a growing concern around us. For what reason is this happening,, suddenly? For what reason are many people losing their lives in the gym? Even certain celebs like Raju Srivastava, Siddhaant Suryavanshi and more have passed away either during or after their workout. Just last month, Salman Khan’s 50-year-old body double Sagar Pandey died during a gym workout. South superstar Puneeth Rajkumar died on October 29, 2021, while working out and died on the way to the hospital.

Talking about the same, actor Suniel Shetty in a recent interaction with TOI said that the problem lies in the supplements they take and the steroids they consume. According to him, the workout is not the problem. “No, they are not stretching themselves beyond their limits.” He also said that it’s heart failure and not heart attack when one indulges in supplements and steroids.

The actor also said that it is about eating right and getting the right amount of sleep. According to him, all these things play a role. “And mind you, by eating right I don’t mean dieting. By eating right I mean nutrition. The nutrition has to be correct and adequate.”

He also added that post-COVID, we should  do the test that tells us whether our blood is forming clots (D-Dimer Test). “COVID is leading to blood clotting and that can be dangerous.”
