Be it her super-fit physique, her optimistic spirit or the courageous way she has brought up her two daughters single-handedly, former beauty queen and actress Sushmita Sen is an inspiration for so many. Recently Sushmita Sen came across an old video of her younger daughter Alisah speaking a heartwarming essay on adoption.

In the essay, the 11-year-old urged people to adopt as it gives a child ‘the right to live’ and brings one a lot of love and happiness in return. Retweeting the video, Sushmita wrote on Twitter, “Such wisdom & grace!! Alisah Sen inspires me!!! DuggaDugga BornFromTheHeart.”

Alisah read out her essay in the video: “I believe that you should adopt a child from the orphanage since you will have happiness in your family. After all, a child must have the right to live. You might be thinking that adopting a child means more responsibility than a biological one. But no, you are wrong. Both types are the same and secondly there shouldn’t even be a differentiation.”

She mentioned that when you adopt, you give life to someone and get to be distinct. People get to choose a child whose parents abandoned them. Moreover, it is a wonderful feeling to realize that you bestowed life in such a manner that you protected one. The child will love you so much that you would never feel like they are adopted.

Alisah compared children to ‘clay’ and said that they are apt to love. She also requested people give orphans the love that they deserve but do not get. She asked everyone to be like inspirational people like her mother and many more, who encouraged almost the whole world to adopt a child. “Adopt a child but out of love,” the essay concluded.

On the professional front Sushmita after her appearance in the 2015 Bengali film Nirbaak, gave rise to a comeback in 2020 in the web series Aarya. The actress has commenced filming for the second season of Aarya in Jaipur.
