Taapsee Pannu recently walked the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week as showstopper for designer Monisha Jaising. The actress shared her look from the night on her Instagram handle wearing a red gown and Reliance Jewels Akshaya Tritya collection. She dared to bare the most cleavage with her deep neck gown along with an idol of goddess Lakshmi, which didn’t quite sit right with the netizens.
The actress, post sharing her pictures on Instagram, was slammed for accompanying the idol with revealing outfit. Along with the picture, was the caption in Hindi, “When will this red colour leave me.” She flaunted her golden coloured neckpiece which had featured Hindu goddess’s idol, which appears to offend a certain section of netizens.
As soon as, Taapsee shared her pictures from the Lakme Fashion Week, some of the netizens took to her comment section slam her. One of the comments read, “Aise vulgar photo me Maa Laxmi ka haar pehna huaa hai (wearing Maa Laxmi necklace with such vulgar photo)… Shame on you,” while another read, “Goddess’ necklace in such a bad dress, have some shame.”
Meanwhile on the work front, the actress will be soon seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkummar Hirani’s Dunki.
