The Guinness Book contains a list of rather weird records which many people don’t even think of breaking. Many bizarre incidences have found themselves a place in this world record book. One such record for having the world’s longest fingernails.

The mind-boggling record was held by a woman named Ayanna Williams. The Texas woman found herself a place in the Guinness Book of records back in 2017. Back then, her nails measured 19-feet and 10.9 inches. The reports claim that she required two bottles of nail polish to complete a manicure.

However, now 3 years after setting the world record, the Taxes woman has finally cut off her nails for the first time in the past 30 years. However, on Wednesday, before cutting her nails, Ayanna Williams managed to break her own record, once again. The new length of her nails measuring 24 feet and 0.7 inches.

Williams needed professional help to cut off her long-grown nails. Dr. Allison Readinger of Trinity Vista Dermatology in Forth Worth, Texas, had to use an electric rotary tool for getting done with her work. It was after three decades that Williams has cut her nails, and indeed it was an emotional moment for her.

Ayanna said that she has been growing her fingernails since the early 1990s. While cutting the nails, she said that with or without her nails, she will still be the queen. She further added, “My nails don’t make me, I make my nail.”

A nearly 8-minute long video was shared by Ayanna Williams on her Instagram handle. The World Records Holder also shared the same video on her YouTube channel. It features Dr. Allison cut Williams’ long fingernails.

Meanwhile, Ayanna Williams said that her new goal is to encourage the person wanting to break the record set by her and to go for the Guinness World Records title.
