Thalapathy Vijay has been slammed with a police complaint over the song Naa Ready from his upcoming movie Leo. The song’s video is yet to be released but the lyrics were revealed a few days back. The complaint has been filed by an activist, based in Chennai, who has alleged that the song is glorifying drug and alcohol use. A ban on the film has also been demanded.
Leo stars Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, and Sanjay Dutt, and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The song Naa Ready is composed by Anirudh and also sung by him along with Vijay. On Sunday, an online complaint has been filed against the film by a Chennai based RTI Selvam. The complainant claims that through song, the actor is glorifying the consumption of drugs and alcohol, hence demanding the ban on the movie in whole. Selvam also submitted the complaint on Monday in person.
The video of the song will be released soon. As of now, the makers have not responded to the complaint filed by Selvam. The film is set to hit the theatres in October and is slated to be one of the most anticipated movies from the Tamil film industry.
