The family members also stated that he was also getting calls from people asking him to pay back the loaning sums. The writer was found lying in his Mumbai flat on November 27.

Abhishek’s brother, Jenis stated that he came to know all about these matters after his passing away when he started taking his phone calls. “From what I understood from the email records, my brother first took a small loan from one of the ‘easy loan’ apps that charge a very high rate of interest. I looked at the transactions between them and my brother closely after that. I noticed that they kept sending small amounts despite my brother not applying for the loans. Their interest rates are as high as 30%,” he added up.

An official from the Charkop police station stated that they have lodged the complaint. The investigation in the said matter has already been started.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest-running situational comedies of Indian television.
