Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the three-time elected Prime Minister of our country who took his last breath on Thursday evening in AIIMS. The 93-year-old leader had been facing severe health issues for almost a decade now. He was known for his grip over politics, his decisions, and his generosity.

It was his nature that made the singing sensation and legend Lata Mangeshkar said, “He was like my father. He called me Beti. I called him Dadda. I feel I’ve lost my father all over again.” She further said that she was hardly impressed by any other political leader. Lata Ji said that he was a visionary and our nation witnessed massive progress when he was in power. She also said that he contributed a lot to improve India-Pakistan relations.

Well, today we got our hand into a new video of Atalji shared by a news agency. In the video, the leader is seen lifting a little child during the 2003 National Bravery Award ceremony. ANI while sharing the video wrote: “ANI ARCHIVES #WATCH Former PM #AtalBihariVajpayee lifts a young bravery award winner at the 2003 National Bravery Award ceremony.”

Another example of his generosity recorded by the reporter who recalled the incident that he was so kind that once he had once given a special chance to him as a young reporter who was trying to ask a few questions to him in the crowd of 100 reporters. At the Raj Bhavan in Lucknow, he was waiting for a reporter to ask him a question and said, “No one should speak until she finishes her question. OK?, Now, you, ask me what you want to ask”.

The report explained, “When the Prime Minister entered the hall every journo wanted to him ask first. Myself, a young reporter, along with another one were pushed behind. I shouted Vajpayee ji, Vajpayeeji. He heard me and asked another journalist standing near him Who is that girl, call her here. There I was standing in front of him, after being pushed by others to the front row. “What happened, he asked me with that warm smile. As always what I saw on his face was those smiling, shining eyes. Yes, Vajpayee used to smile through his eyes too.”
