A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved a female passenger at Telangana’s Begumpet railway station on Wednesday. The woman attempted to board the running train but as the train picked up on speed, the woman was at risk of slipping in between the gap. This was noticed by constable Sanitha, who rushed to help her and successfully averted the tragedy.

As per the official statement, the constable Sanita has earlier helped the passengers in need and her recent act clearly amplifies the spirit of ‘Mission Jeevan Raksha’. K Sanitha, hailing from the Tirumalgiri village of Nalgonda district, Telangana state, got appointed to Railway Protection Force in the year 2020.
There are incidents where people try to board the moving train and possess the risk of slipping and coming under the wheels of train. Under mission ‘Jeevan Raksha’, RPF personnel has earlier saved 2 passengers in the year 2023, while risking their own lives, as per the statement.
It further read that RPF Secunderabad Division remains committed to ensure safety and security of railway passengers and creating awareness of potential risks associated with boarding or dislodging from moving trains.
