WhatsApp is bringing a new feature for those who hate people snooping into your phone or your WhatsApp chats. The feature would add a layer of privacy for entering in the app, using the fingerprint sensor.
The new feature, according to WABetaInfo, is currently being rolled on beta versions of WhatsApp, where it is allowing users to use the fingerprint scanner on their smartphone to get into the application.
We can expect it to hit the regular version of WhatsApp pretty soon, while this feature is being tested in beta. It will definitely be a welcomed addition to the smartphone as it will allow users to lock their chats without the need of any third-party app locks.
Soon the Android WhatsApp users will be able to unlock their WhatsApp with their fingerprint.

The user also get the liberty to set a timer on the fingerprint unlock from immediately locking the messenger to waiting for a minute or even 30 minutes before locking it completely, so that if one wants to keep replying to a conversation, he could set the timer according to it.
WhatsApp fingerprint unlock, about bloody time. Don't use the app that much for reasons such as this. pic.twitter.com/Qhfmt9Bpav

Users, to enable this feature, need to head to WhatsApp Settings>Account>Privacy>Fingerprint lock. Turn it on and it will prompt to verify it. Surprisingly, you can still reply to the WhatsApp messages from notification without actually entering the app. Moreover, WhatsApp calls work too without the need of entering WhatsApp.

Recently, WhatsApp has been on a roll, bringing in new features every other day. WABetaInfo recently revealed that it is planning to bring a Boomerang-like video capturing/sharing option, but as of now that feature has not been spotted in any beta versions of WhatsApp.
